I kept telling him, ‘it’s fine we can get a picture later!’ but he insisted we had one right then. Brandon nearly hopped the roped off area to ask someone if they would take our picture. After dinner we were walking back to his truck when he wanted us to have our picture taken, which was a great idea until we noticed there wasn’t anyone around besides the people sitting outside on a restaurant patio eating dinner. When we got there, we walked around trying to find a place to eat that sounded good to us both. He suggested the river walk & off we went. They had always talked about it happening after they both graduated from college so when valentine’s day 2016 came around she wasn’t thinking anything about it, because even though Brandon was graduating in a few months,Erica still had a year & a half left of school.Įrica explained, “It was Valentine’s Day when Brandon left early in the morning to go to the library because he had a big project due (or so I thought.) It was 6 pm before he got home & we hadn’t made plans yet. ![]() When your heart knows, it knows.”īrandon also says with a smile, “I always knew she was the one, but I realllllllllllllllly knew she was the one when I got in my motorcycle wreck & she took such good care of me.” The Proposal:Įrica & Brandon have always talked about a future together, getting engaged, married, a house, & even kids. It was something that we both felt was meant to be & six years later he proposed. From the beginning of our relationship, we talked about spending our lives together. I am generally a shy person & I was never shy around Brandon. She explains, “It may sound cheesy but I feel like I have always known he was the one. Though the couple didn’t “officially” start dating until several years later, they were in love from the start! You can see the love in their eyes when they look at each other & Erica’s face lights up whenever she’s around Brandon. Brandon asked her to be his homecoming date & she accepted. Not needing to direct them consistently, we simply were a guest to their love story & watched as they fell deeper in love while the sun set.Īfter finishing at the riverwalk, Erica & Brandon changed into more formal attire to venture closer to the Pearl Brewery for a more industrial look. The architecture lended itself to stunning photos as they simply looked into each other’s eyes. As Brandon held Erica in his arms in the middle of the amphitheater, on lookers provided oohs & awws. From the pedestrian bridge over the river, to the river walk amphitheater, to the historic Pearl Brewery Stables, to the Brewery itself, there are endless places to capture romance that have both an urban & country feel as well.Įrica & Brandon chose a more casual outfit to compliment the “park-like” setting of the riverwalk. They started things are the beautiful Menger Hotel. Gage plays the piano so they wanted to incorporate a piano into a few of their photos and Jonathan Ivy knocked it out of the park. This might be one of my favorite indoor sessions since we moved to San Antonio a year ago.
